Inspired by the Dadaist Movement and Chance Art, IF THIS THEN THAT is a tool to stimulate our creative mind. The digital interface displays an empty line and a blinking cursor calls the user to type a word or phrase after the “IF” and receive a word or sentence after the "THEN". The simple “If ____ then ____” phrase creates a sense of liberation and infinity, created specially to illustrate tha there is no single or clear answer or absolute idea which ignites our imagination.
In this final project, my goal was to redefine my creative boundaries, relying only onthe unknown, chance, “non-sense” information that we can create using simple algorithms. Each object made using the IF THIS THEN THAT was created in a different visual communication medium, such as: Video, static images, light, sound, print and interactive. Type anything you want and press enter :)
